Wolverhampton: Walking for health initiatives

Walking for Health

Members of the Barretts team often join this group on some of their walks. A timetable of the walks is available for download on their site. With so many walks during the week, you're bound to find one to suit your schedule or level of activity.

Essington Walk & Talk

Penkridge Walk & Talk

Wyrley Walk & Talk
Meets every Wednesday at 10am at the Wesley Chapel, Walsall Rd, Great Wyrley.

All walks are 1-2 miles and take 30-45 minutes except for Baggeridge where walks take 1 to 1.5 hours.

Sandwell Stride

Sandwell Primary Care Trust host walks at several venues in Sandwell. During these walks, you will meet other people, learn about health walking and have a great time. Walks make the most of Sandwell's parks and canals.

Black Country Urban Forest

Find out where you can walk in some of the greenest parts of the Black Country.

The walks go through some of the woods, wetlands and wildflower areas in the Black Country.  These landscapes change a lot through the seasons so once you find a favourite walk, try sharing it with friends and visiting in spring, summer, autumn and winter.  There should always be something new to see.
