Feckenham: Walking for health initiatives
Kidderminster: Stride & Stroll ll
STRIDE & STROLL II is the
Kidderminster based section of the Countryside Agency's Walking the
way to Health Initiative (WHI). We are a walking group that
currently walk every Saturday at 10:30am, using health & exercise as
the excuse for a social gathering in good company.
Bromsgrove Walks for Health
The scheme offers walks ranging
from 1/2 -3 miles in length. The walks include town walks, park
walks and walks in the surrounding countryside.
All walks are led by trained
volunteers.
The walks are open to all. We
encourage beginners. We are working closely with local GPs and
hospitals to encourage the elderly and those at risk of heart
disease to participate.
Redditch
Every Monday morning* at 11am the
Arrow Valley Health Walk starts from the Countryside Centre on
Battens Drive, Redditch. The walks take a variety of routes
incorporating the lake, meadows and woodlands. The walks are always
on made-up surfaces - with grassy meadows and a few steps when the
ground is dry. The walks take up to an hour and are usually between
2 and 3 miles with shorter routes optional.
