Walking is a fantastic way for anybody to stay fit and
healthy. Walking for 30 minutes a day is enough to help
significantly reduce your chances of heart attack. Walking
For Health.

Find The Right Footwear
Ensuring you have the right footwear is essential to
enjoying your time outdoors. An ill fitting or unsuitable
pair of walking boots can mean the difference between a fun
filled day or a miserable time. Equally if you go out on a
cross country walk in trainers, not only can you get wet
feet, but you also run the risk of spraining an ankle
on rough ground.
Find the right boots, use and abuse them, but look after
them well, and you're guaranteed a long and happy life of
exploration together. |

Get The Right
Gear
Once you're kitted up and
protected from the elements Britain is your oyster!
A holiday these days means flights abroad and lazy days
spent on beaches, but people are forgetting what there is on
offer right here in Britain. You can 'get away from it all'
for a short or a long weekend, and discover new, exiting,
fascinating and beautiful locations right here on your
doorstep. |

STRIDE & STROLL II is the

way to Health Initiative (WHI). We are a walking group that
currently walk every Saturday at 10:30am, using health & exercise as
the excuse for a social gathering in good company.

The scheme offers walks ranging
from 1/2 -3 miles in length. The walks include town walks, park
walks and walks in the surrounding countryside.
All walks are led by trained
volunteers.
The walks are open to all. We
encourage beginners. We are working closely with local GPs and
hospitals to encourage the elderly and those at risk of heart
disease to participate.
