Equipment

Most clubs will be able to supply beginners with all the technical pieces of kit they need (like helmets, paddles, buoyancy aids and a boat).  What you will generally need to bring along are

Spare dry clothes (and a towel)
Thermal top(s) and bottoms
Waterproof jacket (if the club do not have dry tops to lend out)
Lightweight, quick drying trousers (not jeans).
